See on

The Man in the middle Referee Tony Bates will take charge of Saturdays Npower Championship game between Blues and Leicester City at St Andrews. Bates has been a referee for over ten seasons and has reffed Blues on Numerous occasions, so far this season he has reffed 7 games and dished out 20 Yellows and No Reds. Tomorrow will be the 9th time Bates has reffed Blues. we have won 2 lost 3 and drawn 3, 25% win rate, One sending off way back in 1999, a certain Graham Hyde against Bolton in a memorable 3-3 draw, the game on a knife edge at 3-2 Blues until a 90th minute penalty to Bolton.  The last few times he has reffed Blues have both been against Coventry City, Last season in the 1-0 win when Keith Fahey scored and a few seasons before when Clinton Morrison came back to haunt us with the single goal for the Sky Blues. worryingly for Blues fans would be the stat that Leicester have never lost when Bates has been the man in the middle, a stretch of eleven games!  see more and read more on the forum #bcfc
