LEE Clark rounded on Blues for a lack of fight in a first half that ‘handed the initiative’ to Huddersfield Town.

Jermaine Beckford scored what proved to be the only goal in the 25th minute of an opening period that left Clark fuming.

“I thought first half we handed the initiative to Huddersfield, we weren’t competitive enough,” said the manager.

“Or certainly we didn’t have ten outfield players who were competitive enough.

“I know it takes all kinds to make up the facet of a team but we have to – all ten outfield players – take responsibility to compete with their opponents and come out with a 50-50 on the odd occasion.

“In my view, Huddersfield came out with them all, all the big ones. They were left running at my back-four players.

“We tried to have a go second half. We brought Nikola Zigic on and did well.

“I was pleased with that but then he gets sent off, and whether it was a sending-off is debatable. But the lads had a go with ten men, so why not have a go from the first whistle?” #bcfc
